MEET OUR TEAM
Dr Aushi Patel
Principal Dentist
Dr Aushi Patel earned her degree from King’s College School of Medicine and Dentistry (University of London) in 1995 and has dedicated over twenty-five years in practice as a holistic dentist.
Her mission in serving Sydney CBD clients is to bring awareness to the intricate connection between the mouth and the entire body. She sees the mouth not merely as an entry point to the digestive system, but as a sophisticated organ that exerts influence and is also influenced by every aspect of the body. “It’s about much more than teeth” resonates deeply with her holistic perspective on dentistry.
As an accredited member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT), Dr Patel has received comprehensive training in protocols for safer removal of mercury amalgam fillings (SMART technique). She also implements adrenaline, BPA, fluoride, and mercury-free dental care practices at her clinic.
In addition to her expertise in modern dentistry, Dr Patel is a dedicated student of Ayurveda, holding a certificate in Ayurvedic healing. She passionately integrates Ayurvedic wisdom into her dental practices, presenting a genuinely holistic approach to oral wellness.
Dr Patel’s journey as a holistic dentist is driven by a deep commitment to advancing holistic dental health, ancient wisdom, and the transformative power of nature’s healing remedies. Through her unique integration of Eastern and Western knowledge, her vision is to create a paradigm shift in dental health, bridging ancient wisdom with modern dentistry.
Alongside her role as a dentist, she is also the author of “Your Healing Mouth: Unlocking Ancient Ayurvedic Secrets for Optimal Dental Health,” a comprehensive guide that delves into the profound wisdom of Ayurveda for nurturing dental wellness, and the visionary behind the luxurious Anokhi Veda Ayurvedic Oral Care product range.

Tino Sage
Oral Health Therapist
Tino brings both warmth and precision to his role at Anokhi Dental. A graduate of Auckland University of Technology (2013), he has over a decade of experience in caring for smiles of all ages.
As an Oral Health Therapist, he is qualified across the full adult scope of practice — from gentle gum and periodontal treatments to restorative care such as fillings, as well as children’s dentistry. This breadth of training allows him to provide complete care for the whole family, supporting patients through every stage of their oral health journey.
Our patients often describe Tino as gentle and very thorough with his treatments. He takes time to understand each person’s needs, tailoring care so that every visit feels calm and supportive.
Whether guiding a child through their first dental experience, treating gum disease, or restoring a tooth, Tino is dedicated to making each appointment a positive experience.
Growing up on the island of Tahiti, Tino carries with him a strong connection to balance, nature, and holistic living. This perspective beautifully complements the Ayurvedic principles at the heart of Anokhi Dental, where oral care is seen as part of whole-body wellbeing.
Working closely alongside Dr Patel and Dr Bhansali, Tino combines the precision of modern dentistry with a mindful, holistic approach — helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles in a way that honours both science and the wider journey of health.
