At Anokhi Dental our passion is delivering effective and proven treatments, working in harmony with the body. Amongst other things, we strive to limit the use of metals in the mouth.

Most of us would like straight teeth and a great smile for life. Previously, in most cases orthodontics involved treatment using unsightly metal braces.

Anokhi Dental can advise you of options that can be more simple, convenient, aesthetically pleasing and comfortable.  Invisalign® is a proven, trusted and modern alternative orthodontic treatment which is metal free.

How does it work?

A series of nearly invisible, custom made removable aligners are constructed to exact measurements. Each aligner set is worn for a week and then replaced. With each aligner set, your teeth will move little by little, week by week, until they have straightened to the final desired position giving you that great smile you always wanted!

What are the advantages of Invisalign®over metallic braces?

  • Comfort: Invisalign is comfortable as there are no wires and brackets which can often irritate the inside of the mouth and soft tissues.

  • Appearance: As the aligners are completely transparent and almost undetectable when worn. This makes them very popular with adults.

  • Convenience: Invisalign aligners are removable, unlike fixed metal braces. You have the flexibility to eat and drink what you want during treatment by simply removing the aligners. You can also remove the aligners to brush and floss as you normally would to maintain good oral hygiene and fresh breath.

  • Bio Compatibility: We are always mindful of the materials that we use in treatments that we carry out.Invisalign® aligners do not contain metal, Bisphenol-A or plasticisers. We consider this best practice.

As well as a beautiful smile Invisalign® can improve your general health. How?

  • Healthier Gums: When teeth are misaligned it is difficult to brush, floss and maintain good oral hygiene. This can lead to swollen, bleeding gums and ultimately periodontal disease. Given the immense amount of scientific research connecting oral health and cardiovascular health, healthy gums means a healthy heart!

  • Improved Chewing: Bitten off more than you can chew? The mouth is the beginning of the gut. It is essential that your food is chewed thoroughly for optimal nutrition. Misaligned teeth may make it difficult to chew properly and can affect your digestion.

  • Appearance: For many people, a nicely aligned healthy smile promotes feelings of self -worth and self-confidence. So, put yourself in a healthy state of mind with a great looking smile!
