Elizabeth graduated as a dental hygienist form the University of Otago, New Zealand in 2002.
She has worked in dentistry since 1988 when she started out as a dental assistant in London. It was here she attained her National Certificate in Dental Assisting. Following this she worked internationally for several years both in community and private dental practices in the UK, New Zealand, the Gold Coast and Sydney.
Over the years a deepening interest in oral health and preventative dentistry led Elizabeth to further study and obtaining her qualification as a dental hygienist.
With a deep appreciation of the connection between oral and overall health Elizabeth understands the importance of a healthy mouth. She is passionate about educating her patients about a more holistic and natural approach to oral care. She believes that a healthy mouth is more than just about “good brushing and flossing”.
Elizabeth applies this approach to her daily clinical practice and considers any and all aspects of her patients health and habits that could be affecting the health of their mouths.
When not working as a hygienist Elizabeth is an Iyengar yoga teacher which deepens her understanding of holistic wellbeing from a mind, body and spirit point of view and complements her patient care at Anokhi Dental.
Her gentle nature combined with her many years of experience in treating nervous patients makes Elizabeth very popular with her patients.
